Eric Haven

Eric Haven was born in Syracuse, NY in 1967. After graduating with a BFA from Syracuse University in 1989, he moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where he’s had comics published in the SF Bay Guardian, the LA Weekly, The Believer, Kramers Ergot, and Mad magazine.

Between 2003-2006, three issues of his comic Tales to Demolish were published by Sparkplug Comic Books.

In 2009, Buenaventura Press published his comic The Aviatrix.

In 2015, Adhouse Books published UR, a collection of strips that had previously appeared elsewhere. UR was subsequently nominated for an Eisner Award, Humor Category.

From 2004–2015, in addition to creating comics, Eric worked on the TV program MythBusters. As a producer on the show, he was nominated three times for an Emmy Award. In the majority of the episodes, his hand can be seen creating blueprint drawings that introduce each story.
