Frank Miller is a cartoonist and writer. He got his start working on Daredevil comics in the early ’80s, followed by a handful of other titles. He rose to prominence in the late ’80s after creating the graphic novel, The Dark Knight, a reimagining of the classic superhero, Batman. This groundbreaking work brought a deeper and darker vision to the character, which not only spawned the series of Batman films, but has influenced the tough, gritty approach to superheroes now in vogue. He is also the creator of popular graphic novels such as 300 and Sin City.
In addition to his comics work, he has written and directed numerous films, such as Sin City and the critically reviled The Spirit.
