Jack Kirby

Jack Kirby (1917–1994) was one of the most influential, recognizable, and prolific artists in American comic books, and the co-creator of such enduring characters and pop culture icons as the Fantastic Four, X-Men, The Incredible Hulk, Captain America, Iron Man, the Black Panther, and hundreds of others, stretching back to the earliest days of the medium. His output was legendary, with one count estimating that he produced over 25,000 pages of comic art. Known as "The King," Kirby has influenced generations of cartoonists.
