Martí is a cartoonist best known for Il Taxista (The Cabbie) and Callgirl (in collaboration with Luis Tobalina). His work was first published in the Spanish magazine El Vibora in the early ’80s. He garnered international attention through his stories published in Raw and the Drawn & Quarterly Anthology. His other comics include Monstruos Modernos, Doctor Vértigo, Terrorista, and Historias de Realismo Sucio. Martí’s style is heavily influenced by the comics of Chester Gould, who created Dick Tracy.
