Sasaki Maki

Sasaki Maki (b. 1946) is an cartoonist and illustrator who started making experimental manga in the mid-1960s, largely published in the pages of the avant-garde magazine GaroAmong his best-known works are the Musshu Munieru (Monsieur Meuniere) series and the Nemui nemui nezumi (Very Sleepy Mouse) series. He also illustrated the covers for Haruki Murakami's first seven novels.
