From our colleagues over at Yale University Press comes this great video trailer for their new edition of Cartooning: Philosophy and Practice by Ivan Brunetti.

News comes via the Chicago Comics newsletter that the wonderful Ivan Brunetti will be making a rare public appearance at the Chicago Comics store on April 1st 5:00 - 7:00 PM to promote the new edition of his book Cartooning: Philosophy and Practice. Unless you're somehow debilitated, you'll certainly not want to miss that!

Given my job it is strange for me to suggest that you give another publisher your money. But as a comics fan I really want this awesome-sounding project to get the help it needs and I'd be crazy not to plug it: Ryan Standfest's startup Rotland Press + Comicworks is raising needed funds via Kickstarter for the printing of the new comics anthology BLACK EYE: Graphic Transmissions to Cause Ocular Hypertension and jeezum crow, look at that lineup — that's just mind-boggling:

Comedian Patton Oswalt posted on his Facebook that a super-fan tattooed a joke of his on his arm, as illustrated by our very own Ivan Brunetti. (You may recall, last year the FLOG reported that Ivan did the artwork on Patton's latest comedy CD My Weakness Is Strong, and Patton did the introduction to Ivan's latest, Ho!)
