Free original sketch with Frank Stack purchase!
Written by Mike Baehr | Filed under sales specialsOriginal ArtFrank Stack 24 Aug 2011 9:35 AM

You may recall the special offer we made during Comic-Con this year for "sketch editions" of several of our books. While most of the sketches for that offer were done by their respective artists to-order, Frank Stack did a bunch of extras in advance, and so we're able to offer them once more FREE with purchase of Frank's book The New Adventures of Jesus: The Second Coming! Order while supplies last and you'll get a randomly-selected sketch at no extra charge. We made sure we got scans of the sketches before we send 'em out — he drew them 4 to a page, as shown below, but they've since been quartered. Click each image for a larger version. Oh my gosh they sure are great — you can't go wrong with any of 'em!

Beto Is Old School! Yeah!
Written by Kim Thompson | Filed under Original ArtLove and RocketsGilbert HernandezComing Attractions 3 May 2011 2:24 PM
In a brave new world where practically every cartoonist by now scans his or her original art and sends us discs or drops files on our server, Gilbert Hernandez remains staunchly stuck in the 20th century, whence he FedExes us fat packages of art every time we have a new book of his to release. And thus today we were blessed with a FedEx carton containing his 50 count 'em 50 pages for the next issue of Love and Rockets: New Stories, premiering in San Diego in July.

Here's one of 'em. (Click for a bigger version.) You'll get to see the other 49 later this summer.
