Orders will begin shipping on or about next Wednesday, August 21.

AND, we're extending our free audiobook download offerOrder the book by Monday, August 26 and on Tuesday, August 27 you'll receive an email from Local 638 Records with a code you can use to download the complete, unabridged audiobook (read by a brain-melting lineup of musicians, comedians and thespians) for FREE! Sample a few excerpts and see the full lineup here. This is an exclusive offer for Fantagraphics direct customers!

All my payday goes to Simon Hanselmann
Written by Jen Vaughn | Filed under Simon Hanselmannsales specialsart 9 Aug 2013 2:48 PM
Simon Sale
Oh shit, guys. Simon Hanselmann is having a sale on original art, comic covers and his infamous Truth Zone comics. Simon states, "I am currently offering (scamming people with) the originals of truth zone episodes 1-69. they are $120 in Australian dollars..." Not to be the bearer of bad news but since his Tumblr posts went up, pages are starting to go so don't think you can just go out and have a pint first and expect that page you want to still be there (you know, the one of the Crittys, where Simon drew you and bagged on Nick Gazin at the same time).

Hanselmann's book with Fantagraphics, MEGAHEX, was announced at SDCC and is coming out summer of 2014. So jump on these pages while the getting is rather inexpensive and then you can nod at the original art every day you walk by it, chuckling to yourself AND your good fortune for reading the Flog on a Friday. Damn, you're a smart person. More on Hanselmann's Tumblr, Girl Mountain. Get a page and then get a pint.

And after the sale, some of these sets won't be offered anymore, so this may be your LAST CHANCE to get them at a discount! Your choices (while supplies last) include:

• our first and second EC Library sets
• Tony Millionaire's wonderful Billy Hazelnuts books
• the first 2 volumes of Joe Daly's hilarious Dungeon Quest
• Jacques Tardi's two WWI masterpieces
• our Ignatz Series Summer 2010 Super-Pack
• critical darling King of the Flies by Mezzo & Pirus
• George Herriman's earliest Krazy Kat Sundays collected
• a duo of Jacques Tardi/Jean-Patrick Manchette crime stories
• all 3 (so far) of Gilbert Hernandez's "Fritz B-Movie" books

• the first 2 volumes of Tardi's Adèle Blanc-Sec adventures
• a pair of literary novels by Monte Schulz
• the complete You'll Never Know by the great C. Tyler

What's better than a book from Fantagraphics? Two or more books from Fantagraphics! And even without an extra discount, our other sets are still a great deal too. See the whole list here!

Memorial Day Sale graphic

YOU PEOPLE ARE AWESOME.

Our Memorial Day Mega-Blowout Sale is exceeding our wildest expectations! Unfortunately, what this means is that many sale items are already backordered — our current supply is depleted — and some are gone completely. We will be restocking and filling backorders just as soon as we figure out how many of each title we need, but please note that your order may be delayed in shipping up to 4 weeks. With that in mind, we advise you to NOT choose rush shipping when placing your order!

Meanwhile the sale marches on with our biggest discount ever75% OFF! — on a huge assortment of almost 250 items through the end of the day on Monday, May 27, 2013.

(Reminder: coupons and other discounts do not apply to these sale items. Due to the expected high volume of orders please allow 1-2 extra days for processing and shipping of in-stock items.)
