You may have heard that we're in the process of relocating our warehouse and shipping facilities. As we've now reached a crucial point in the transition, no orders will be shipped from October 7 through October 20, 2010. All orders placed during this period will be shipped after October 20 using the slowest method (Media Rate in the U.S., Air Mail for Canada & Mexico, and DHL Global Mail for the rest of the world) — rush shipping will NOT be available. (See our shipping information page here.)
To cushion the blow, the good news is that during this period SHIPPING IS FREE IN THE U.S. and 50% OFF FOR INTERNATIONAL ORDERS. And on top of that, use the coupon code GOODNEWS at checkout for 20% OFF YOUR ENTIRE ORDER through October 20, 2010! Now's the time to get that holiday shopping done early!
We hope that these discounts compensate for any inconvenience caused by our shipping blackout. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
The very first Peanuts strip ran on October 2nd, 1950, which means that tomorrow is the 60th Anniversary of the strip! It's been our honor and privilege to continue publishing the definitive collected edition of Charles M. Schulz's immortal masterwork, The Complete Peanuts, and we're joining in the celebration by offering every volume and box set of the series (to date) for 20% OFF from now through the end of October. Treat yourself and your loved ones (I hear there's some kind of gift-giving season coming up) to these beautifully designed and universally acclaimed collections of America's most beloved comic strip. And hooray for Peanuts!
If you're interested in what's "happening" and "now" in comics, there's one place to turn: Mome, our quarterly anthology of the best in contemporary, cutting-edge cartooning from around the world. With so many volumes in print, it can be difficult to know where to start... so we've made it easy for you by offering these convenient, affordable multi-packs. They also make an amazing gift. Don't miss out on this incredible deal.
Our slogan is "Publisher of the World's Best Cartoonists Since 1976," and we mean it when we say THE WORLD. Beyond North America our creators hail from such far-flung locales as Japan, New Zealand, South Africa, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, and the UK. (We've also published some Latin American creators over the years but that stuff's out of print. And we're not including our neighbors to the north this time around — we'll get you later, Canada.)
We are pleased to report that Ganges by Kevin Huizenga, which was nominated for all 3 major industry awards this year (Eisner, Harvey & Ignatz), took home the Ignatz brick for Outstanding Series at the award ceremony at SPX this past weekend. (See the complete list of winners in all categories here.) Congratulations!
To celebrate, all 3 issues of the series are now 20% off for a limited time! There's never been a better time to fill in the gaps in your collection or catch up on the whole series at once!
Richard Sala has created a blog with a special 13-page sneak peek at his upcoming graphic novel The Hidden, which is now available for pre-order. Originally scheduled for release this fall, the book is now slated for early next year. Richard apologizes for the delay and promises that this book will be a bit different than anything he's done before. Judging from the preview pages he's posted, it's going to be a doozy of a book!
