A fan named Ross Adams went and got himself a tattoo of the Caligulon symbol from Johnny Ryan's Prison Pit Book 3, and then Johnny went and tweeted about it. No word as to whether Adams can now shoot destructive/transfigurative rays from his shin.

http://www.fantagraphics.com/images/flog/mike/201108/tattoo-tonym-nyc.jpg

When someone at Staten Island comic shop Comic Book Jones tweeted about their tattoo of the NYC cityscape based on a Tony Millionaire drawing, we knew we had to see it and share it with all our Flog readers. And look what else we found in their Twitpic archives: one of their customers with a neck tattoo (!) of Michael Kupperman's Snake 'n' Bacon and a panel from Tales Designed to Thrizzle #6 on his arm!

Ben Dawson Locas tattoo

When it rains ink, it pours! Fan Ben Dawson shared his Jaime Hernandez Love and Rockets tattoo with us on Twitter, saying "a pretty poor photo but you get the idea." I like how it works with the rest of the sleeve. Thanks Ben!

http://www.fantagraphics.com/images/flog/mike/201108/velvet-tattoo.jpg

Daniel Clowes fan Kevin Scully shared this pic of his brand-new tattoo of the Value Ape mascot from Like a Velvet Glove Cast in Iron with us on Twitter just in time for us to tell him — and all of you — about this: our pal Alvin Buenaventura, who's editing the forthcoming book The Art of Daniel Clowes: Modern Cartoonist for Abrams, is searching for any and all tattoos of Clowes artwork for possible inclusion in the book! See all the submission details here, and share your Eightball ink with the world!

Lloyd Llewellyn Ttattoo

Lloyd Llewellyn tattoo

It's been a while since we featured a fan tattoo here, and here's a good one: a somewhat-faded old-school Lloyd Llewellyn, surrounded by a more recent banner that reads "Commemorating 15 Years Of This Tattoo." That may be the first meta-tattoo I've ever seen. Thanks to Joe Garden, who works behind the scenes at The Onion, for sending this in.

Charles Burns fan Kyle McClean sent us this photo of his forearm with what looks like a panel from Black Hole, inked by Dom Collella. That's a lot of needle-time right there, yow. Thanks Kyle!

This Angry Youth Comix tattoo is the pits (haw haw)

Loady McArmpit

What better place for a tattoo of Loady McGee from Johnny Ryan's Angry Youth Comix? This unidentified gentleman was posted by Johnny on Flickr.

UPDATE: The gentleman in question has come forward to identify himself! He's Joel Beck, and he notes that "the artist was Yanni Vera and the shop is Third Eye Tattoo in Melbourne, Australia." Thanks Joel!
