That stunning work of art above, from Esther Pearl Watson, is titled "Mother and Daughter Work to Change the Future" -- and it's the perfect piece for this upcoming art show featuring Esthercollaborating with her daughter, Lilian Todd!
Esther and Lilian will debut their first collaborative art pieces in an upcoming group show, opening on Thursday, March 6th! Together, these two creative ladies work to change the future with their surreal, intergalactic pieces. Congratulate them in person at the opening reception, which will take place from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
The group show Amazon Solitaire, curated by Akina Cox, will be on view at the Center for the Arts, located at 2225 Colorado Blvd in the Eagle Rock area of Los Angeles. If you can't make the reception, the show will be up through March 27th.
And, don't forget about Esther's solo work, like the upcoming release of Unlovable, Vol. 3!!!
Nothing brightens up the day like a little day-glo chartreuse, glittery orange, and the gap-toothed smile of Tammy Pierce! Fresh out of the box, here's an advance copy of Unlovable Vol. 3, the new upcoming installment in Esther Pearl Watson's hilarious and heartbreaking saga of a teen on the bottom of her high school pecking order and her misguided attempts to fabulize her humdrum small-town existence. In this volume, it's summer break, which means fun in the sun (sunburn), boys (disastrous crushes), cheerleader tryouts (egad), and... hold up, wait... oh no... summer school!
Vol. 3 joins its predecessors on the shelves in May; we have an excerpt for you to read and a pre-order button for you to click right here. You can also get all 3 volumes, with the first 2 in a jammin' slipcase, for a nice thrifty discount!

Summer vacation comes in May — at least it does for indefatigable teen loser Tammy Pierce, who's back for more hilarious humiliation and adorkable adventure in Unlovable Vol. 3 by Esther Pearl Watson!
In our downloadable preview, it's 1989, school's out, and it's time for movie rentals (Beaches or Terminator?), hanging out with friends (or not), trips to the mall, pining for last year's crush, getting lectured by Mom to get a job, giving makeovers, and busting a move at the old folks' home!
